We bought this home in 2004 when my father retired. Its prime location near essential amenities such as a bus stop, shops, parks, a doctor's surgery, and Tilehurst railway station, along with convenient driveway parking, made it an ideal choice. When my mother wanted a larger kitchen, we obtained permission to extend the house into the garden, improving both its functionality and appearance. The garden, complete with a patio area, was a source of pride for my parents during the summer months. They enjoyed spending time outdoors, cultivating fruits and vegetables and basking in the sunshine.
