Homeowners Thoughts:

Over 30 years ago, we moved as a young family to St Mary's Road in Mortimer. We loved the road so much that when we sold our house 20 years ago, we chose to move just a few doors up! St Mary's Road is a wonderfully friendly neighbourhood, with an active WhatsApp group and an annual street party that brings everyone together.

The White House has been the perfect home for our growing family. With two reception rooms, the children have always enjoyed having their own space to play, while we could relax in the other. In fact, we still fondly refer to one room as the playroom. Our large utility room, which includes a convenient toilet, has been incredibly useful over the years for everything from cleaning up after dogs and children to storing coats and shoes.

The kitchen, being the heart of our home, was reconfigured to maximise space, and we added a conservatory, which now serves as our dining area. This room offers lovely views of our secluded garden, where we spend a great deal of time. Double doors from the conservatory open to a patio that catches the morning sun an ideal spot for breakfast.

Additionally, we created a covered patio area, which currently serves as our table tennis zone, but it could easily be transformed into a relaxed seating area perfect for enjoying the evening sun. Unlike many homes on St Mary's, our property benefits from off-street parking for three cars, a double-length garage, and a shed at the back of the house. After 20 happy years here, we are sad to leave but feel it's time to downsize, allowing another family to enjoy this wonderful home as much as we have.

Agent's Perspective:

As you approach St. Mary's Road, you can't help but notice this beautiful character property to your left. It's a home that really commands your attention with its unique design and impressive bay windows.

As you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, spacious hallway that leads to two reception rooms, the one on the right, especially, is filled with an abundance of natural light, along with its character fireplace it offers a cosy spot for family gatherings or quiet evenings.

The heart of the home is the L-shaped kitchen, which opens into a conservatory, creating a bright, inviting space perfect for enjoying views of the private, mature garden. The conservatory seamlessly connects the indoors with the outdoors, making it a wonderful space for both daily living and entertaining.

A dedicated study offers a practical home office solution, ideal for those working remotely. Additionally, the property features a large utility room, a convenient downstairs toilet, a system boiler and large detached garage.

Upstairs, the property includes three double bedrooms and a single bedroom, providing flexible accommodation options. While the home is in good order, it presents an opportunity for the new owners to make it their own.

Outside, the garden really stood out to me beautifully manicured and just the right size. It's not so big that it eats up your whole weekend, but still large enough for the kids to play freely. The privacy here is fantastic; it's a prime spot for anyone who values their outdoor space.
